Parallel String Matcher (PSM)
The Parallel String Matcher (PSM) is a scalable solution for high performance network processing related search and lookup functions. It is available as a generic Silicon Intellectual Property (SIP), implementable on FPGA and standard-cell ASIC technology. The PSM is capable of speeds of up to 40Gb/s and provides a single chip solution to search and lookup requirements for next generation networks. Applications include; pattern matching for deep packet inspection, flow classification, TCP/IP header lookup (5-tuple lookup) and content/URL inspection and filtering.
