Regular Expression Processor (RXP)
The Regular Expression Processor (RXP) is a scalable solution for application awareness and security processing. It is available as a generic Silicon Intellectual Property (SIP), implementable on FPGA and standard-cell ASIC technology. The RXP is capable of speeds of up to 40Gb/s and provides a single chip solution to content processing requirements for next generation networks. Applications include; stateful packet classification, deep packet inspection, access control list execution and content/URL filtering.

The RXP can be configured to operate as a co-processor (off-load accelerator device) or as a standalone stream processor. In the former, function calls are made by the host processor and in the latter, the RXP is an integral part of the datapath for inline processing.
