Management Team
Dr Gaston (CEO) has a breadth of experience (over 20 years) in the semiconductor industry and has held positions at GEC Plessey Semiconductors, AVX Kyocera, BCO Technologies, Analog Devices and more recently ECIT, Queen’s University Belfast. These roles have included microelectronics engineering, as well as project management, commercial and contractual negotiations and senior general management roles. He was part of the Senior Management team that led the sale of start-up BCO Technologies to Analog Devices for $153M.
He has completed an MEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Queen’s University Belfast, a PhD in semiconductors at The University of Edinburgh and an MBA at Henley Management College.
Dr Sezer (CTO) has gained significant experience (over 15 years) in technical roles in Nortel, Tellabs, Amphion Semiconductor and latterly in Queen’s University Belfast. These roles have involved both engineering and also technical business development and commercial negotiations. Dr Sezer is the system architect and innovator behind the definition and development of the network processing IP.
Dr Burns (VP Engineering) has over 15 years experience working for Xilinx and MicroEmissive Displays Ltd in technical engineering and product development roles. At Xilinx he was an integrated circuit designer on reconfigurable FPGAs. As Product Development Manager at MicroEmissive Displays Ltd he drove the development of the full-custom CMOS backplanes. In this role he built up a team of hardware (IC, FPGA, and PCB) and software developers, and provided customer support to early-stage customers.
Mr Michael Black (CFO) has significant experience of obtaining many rounds of VC funding for technology companies and has been involved in a number of acquisitions and in raising funding through IPO. This wealth of practical experience will be vital as the company grows and develops.
