History
Titan IC Systems (TICS) is a spin-out from the Institute of Electronics, Communications and Information Technology (ECIT) at Queen's University Belfast, a £40 million world-class centre with a unique focus on blue skies, strategic and industrial research projects.
Titan IC Systems has its headquarters in Belfast, UK where the product development is performed, building on the expertise and research base within Queen's University Belfast and the wider Northern Ireland area. TICS also has a US sales office in Sunnyvale, CA.
TICS has a large portfolio of network and network security related intellectual property, based on research conducted over the past five years at ECIT. This research has been focused on the underlying processing architectures and silicon technologies, essential for supporting secure, high quality streaming services. TICS innovation lies in the ability to perform fast and parallel pattern matching and regular expression processing at speeds of up to 40Gb/s.
